Last week we talked about the importance of emotions from the marketer’s side, and how becoming invested in your client’s success makes your efforts more productive. This week we have an excellent piece from Search Engine Land that takes a look at the emotions we’re dealing with on the consumer side of things.

There’s a lot of research and analysis at the link, and you should definitely take the time to read it, but to me the big takeaway here is that we can make the content we produce more effective by keeping in mind what emotion we’re targeting. Unsurprisingly, Panda 4.0 is the biggest news this week in the SEO and online marketing world, and folks are talking about it all over the internet, especially the part where eBay got slapped hard for spammy techniques the rest of us have avoided for a while.
